KIM LANDERS: The Australian Medical Association says there is no excuse for medical professionals giving banned vaccines to children.

The Federal Health Department has confirmed that the CSL product, Fluvax has been given to children under the age of five causing one confirmed and two suspected adverse reactions.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration banned the use of Fluvax for young children two years ago because it caused seizures and the Federal Health Department says GPs were given clear instructions not to use the product.

In letters to Colorado public health officials, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) opposes a rule requiring workers in health care facilities to have an annual influenza vaccination or lose their jobs. Workers who had a rare religious or medical exemption would be required to wear a mask in patient care areas from November through March.

The religious exemption is too narrowly drawn, AAPS writes, and should be a philosophical exemption, as accepted in many states, to “to avoid inquisitions into matters of faith.” The mask requirement “seems to be nothing more than a punitive retaliation against those who decline the vaccine” and should be dropped, the AAPS letter states, as both immunized and nonimmunized individuals can transmit influenza or other illnesses.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has become aware of recommendations made by the Finland National Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) to discontinue vaccination with Pandemrix, an adjuvanted H1N1 influenza vaccine, while an investigation is conducted looking into the observed rise in cases of narcolepsy among children and adolescents, mainly in Sweden and Finland. This vaccine was developed specifically for pandemic 2009 H1N1 influenza (this past flu season). A different influenza vaccine will be used in Europe during the upcoming influenza season. Narcolepsy is a chronic neurological disorder caused by the brain’s inability to regulate sleep-wake cycles normally.

Pandemrix is not licensed for use in the United States. No adjuvanted influenza vaccines are licensed in the United States. The European Medicines Agency has launched a review of Pandemrix to investigate whether there is a link between cases of narcolepsy and vaccination with Pandemrix. This vaccine has been used in at least 30.8 million Europeans.

Let me start with the Big Lies. An organization called Families Fighting Flu has for months been running radio ads citing 1,200 U.S. children die from the flu each year, but even the CDC admits on its Fluview website less than 100 American kids (under age 16) died last flu season from "flu-associated" illness, with most already having severely compromised chronic health conditions (Yet, even 100 pediatric flu-associated pediatric deaths indicts U.S. flu protocols as next door Canada last year had but six pediatric flu-associated deaths, all associated with severe prior health conditions).

The second Big Lie run for over 15 years was the CDC publicizing 36,000 Americans died each year from the flu, but last Spring CDC finally admitted their annual flu-associated deaths were vastly overestimated so now it's down around an annual 3,000+ flu-associated deaths. Thus, CDC admits it has been off by a factor of twelve (12) for 15 years, yet mainstream media gives them a free pass and also ignores mortality is associated with flu, almost never a direct cause.

American's mass media and Health Leaders are currently, touting virtually everybody get flu shots, including 6-month old babies getting two doses, the first at 6 months, the second four weeks later. But, "down under" Australia and New Zealand are at the end of their flu season, with their populace very leery of taking flu shots ("jabs" in their parlance) after last year's mass-poisoning by the jabs to Aussie children. Their flu-associated morbidity/mortality numbers reveal (again) without equivocation the uselessness (and toxicity) of toxin-laden flu shots - and, as usual, are simply ignored by U.S. leaders sticking with their obsession of injecting toxins into human flesh.

Equally damning are U.S. CDC and NIH Leaders' attitudes ignoring the vast health benefits of nutrition and adequate Vitamin D (depleted in the darkest Fall and Winter months) despite an abundance of studies that show virtually nobody with robust Vitamin D levels comes down with Winter flu and associated colds.

PLIGHT: Mairead battles to help other sufferers

A DUBLIN mum has spoken of her shock after her six-year-old son was stricken with a chronic sleep disorder after getting the flu vaccination.

Alex Lawless is one of at least 16 children here who have been treated for the disabling condition since receiving the Pandemrix jab.

Little Alex, from Rathgar, in Dublin was vaccinated early last year and now suffers from extreme drowsiness every three or four hours throughout the day.

His mother Mairead was pregnant during the swine flu outbreak in 2009 and was given the flu injection. She was also advised to have her family immunised.

After Alex was given the vaccine he started to sleep a lot during the day.

Authors' conclusions: Influenza vaccines have a modest effect in reducing influenza symptoms and working days lost. There is no evidence that they affect complications, such as pneumonia, or transmission.

This review includes 15 out of 36 trials funded by industry (four had no funding declaration). An earlier systematic review of 274 influenza vaccine studies published up to 2007 found industry funded studies were published in more prestigious journals and cited more than other studies independently from methodological quality and size. Studies funded from public sources were significantly less likely to report conclusions favorable to the vaccines. The review showed that reliable evidence on influenza vaccines is thin but there is evidence of widespread manipulation of conclusions and spurious notoriety of the studies. The content and conclusions of this review should be interpreted in light of this finding.

Selective reporting
The harms dataset from randomised studies is small. The trial authors appear to regard harms as less important than effectiveness assessment. For example, in the trials by Beran et al (Beran 2009a; Beran 2009b) data collection on harms began at the receipt of the vaccine or placebo and continued until the end of the study. However, harms data were solicited from a subset of subjects and no mention of method used to select them and no justification for not collecting harms data from all participants were reported.

Other potential sources of bias
It is now known that industry funding of influenza vaccines stud- ies determines publication in high prestige journals and higher citation rates than other types of funding. In addition industry funding is associated with optimistic conclusions, but the quality of the majority of influenza vaccines studies is low, irrespective of funding. A previously cited review showed a complex web of interrelationships between these variables (Jefferson 2009a), but how this impacts on policy making is unknown.

Inactivated parenteral vaccines were 30% effective (95% CI 17% to 41%) against the symptoms of ILI if content matched WHO recommendations and circulating strain, but were not effective (RR 0.93, 95% CI 0.79 to 1.09) when these were unknown (Anal- ysis 1.1.2)

[Editors note: I believe that the 30% reduction of ILI under ideal circumstances is 30% of 20% annual ILI incidence (.3 x .2 = .06 which is 6%) AND constitutes a bias as studies typically do not include the approximately 6% ILI incidence which follows in the few days following an influenza vaccination. So even under ideal circumstances the value of the vaccine is zero or harmful.]

THE parents of a baby girl who was a victim of last year's flu vaccine debacle are suing the State Government in a potential multimillion-dollar damages claim.

Mick and Kirsten Button's daughter, Saba, suffered global brain injury plus kidney, liver and bone marrow failure after prolonged seizures following her vaccination shot. She may never walk or talk.
